Im running street stock class 2 barrel i have 2 sets of heads 1 is 63 model 48 cc and the other is 66 52 cc im running 10-5-to1s ****tonswhith would be better thanks for the help.

Are these heads bone stock? What kind of pistons are you running?

if you're restricted to a production windsor head, the 69-70 351w head will outflow any 289 head and the chambers are 58cc's, if i remember correctly. there are later heads that also flow pretty well but have larger chambers and smaller valves. gt-40 and gt-40p heads are good and the e7 casting is also decent.

if you use 289-302 heads on a 351w, you'll need to drill the head bolt holes out to accomodate the 351w's larger 1/2" head bolts.

sorry, i posted my opinion and didn't answer your question. if you have to use one of the castings mentioned, use the '66 289 head. the '63 head has a smaller chamber, but the valves are shrouded more than the '66 head.

flattops only with these heads. there isn't a domed piston available for a windsor that will fit either of these heads.
