What is the easiest way to remove a pilot bushing that is firmly in place.

Lisle tools makes a pilot bushing remover part #55600. It's a tapered threaded fitting thats hollow with a grease fitting in one end. Just thread it in the bushing, hook up the grease gun and pump, pops out slick as snot!

Take a 5/8" bolt and run it into the pilot bushing with an impact gun. The bolt will bite into the soft bushing and when it gets to the bottom and contacts the crank it will back right out.

I like these high tech tools been using the grease and an old shotgun plug to drive them out myself.
