I bought a set of heads that have been milled but I dont know how much. when I tried to bolt my intake to them the bolts wont start. On the ends of the heads they are stamped 75.4 cc. I would like to know how much I need to get my intake milled. I didnt see it stamped anywhere how much the heads have been milled. Is this usually stamped on the underside? The heads are 487x.
Thanks

THE INTAKE SIDE OF THE HEAD ARE USALLY MILLED AT THE SAME TIME THE SURFACE OF THE HEAD IS DONE.THERE IS A CORRECTION FACTOR BUT IS HARD TO CHECK IF YOU DONT KNOW HOW MUCH THE HEAD HAS BEEN MILLED.TAKE AN SLIDING PROTRACTOR WITH A ANGEL FINDER AND SLIDE THE ADJUSTABLE SIDEON THE INTAKE SIDE OF THE HEAD AND THE 0THER RULER SIDE FLAT AGANIST THE SURFACE OF A HEAD THAT HAS NOT BEEN MILLED AND COMPARE IT TO YOUR HEADS. IF THE PROTACTOR IS NOT A THE SAME ANGEL YOU NEED TO HAVE IT CORRECTED.

I had the same problem what i did was set the intake on the engine w/o the intake gaskets in place. The intake bolted up fine w/o the gaskets so i had the machine shop mill the thickness of the gasket off each side of the intake and the front and back. This solved my problem, hope this helps.
