WIll somebody give me a rough idea of what bracket and power steering pump to use with a 3970010 block with 3973487 heads. Its an early 70's engine. It's prone to throwing belts now so i think we need to go to original stuff. Thanks

Use the older power steering bracket that hinges on the water pump instead of the one that just bolts to it,the bolt will go all the way thru the pump,if the pump has threads for the later style just drill it all the way thru, this pump is the best as far as alignment goes.

i have the pump hanging from the water pump-i didn't have the back bracket so i ran a short chain from the back of the power steering pump to the front bolt on the header, works fine to this point
