take the oil filter off and make sure you don't have a rubber gasket from an old filter up there and if you do tat is your problem take that old gasket off and put your filter back on and you should be good as new.

you may have a check valve closed in the filter. what type of filter you running

Sounds like the relief valve in the oil pump is stuck and putting full pressure into the filter , which can easily exceed 100psi .

Close?Sounds like he nailed it to me,those racing filters are good peices,i've run a k@n racing filter close to 100psi myself with zero problems.
