Was wondering what opinions everybody had on the different racing dampners.

TCI Rattler

Pro Race

I have been using the TCI Rattler since last season and have not had a problem, but this past weekend a valve spring broke and dropped a valve. This happened at max rpm at the end of the straight-away. When I took the dampner off (by hand) the snout was cracked which if i'm thinking correctly would been caused by the broken pieces SMASHED between the head and piston. So back to the original question, I need to replace the dampner and was looking for different opinions.

i use the australian made romac dampeners. sfi approved billet steel with an aluminum outer cover. one of the best made dampeners i've seen.

We use the ATI damper on about 90% of our engines . I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better damper than the ATI .

ATI or the Romac Aussie ones that are SFI approved are what we use as well, and both are high quality pieces.
We've used Fluidampr before, but have since gone to the above 2 brands.
