ran first three nights great, these
last two nights I've been having
trouble. It wants to die at low rpm's
sometimes when backing off the throttle
wont idle. picks up rpm then comes back
down and try's to die. when putting into
gear wants to die.
I've checked the needle and seat-seems
fine rubber tip is not hard or warn.
filter looks good .float looks good.

this has happend to me, and i can assure you it is a vacume leak , take and while it is running spray some carb cleaner or some wd40 along the carb base and around the intake manifold, ck all vacume lines as well.mine was the base plate to the carb that was leaking where the bolts was going up to the carb, they just got loose.

It could possibly be an idle circuit in your metering block blocked off.

Plugged or restricted air bleed or emulsion tube in the booster assembly, possibly.
The lion's share of issues with Rochester 2bbls has to do with the booster assembly.
Another place to check is for a gasket problem either between the baseplate and body or the thin part of the top gasket where it goes around the back of the carb. They will sometimes leak or be pulled in which can also introduce dirt into your motor.
Also check for dirt in either one of the idle mixture skrew circuits.

Hope that helps.
