Looking at building a new motor. How does one get the compression up with flattops an 76 cc heads. Running hobby stock on 1/4 mile track. The articles I have read, show the heads barely get to 9.1. What can I do? Looking at MidwestMotors heads for $300.00. Thanks, Race

Try a .100 or .150 pop up piston - the 441 open chamber isn't a bad head to use with a pop up piston.

We have angle milled a set of 441's & 882's .100 and I believe the chamber is now about 66cc. We plan to put about a .100 dome piston with them. With a flat top it should put you in the 10.5 to 1 range.

Anybody have any thoughts on 58cc heads? casting number 14014416.
