our 360 sprinters are making over 500hp with a 4412 on alky. don't know about brands though......sprint car guys are all top secret on their stuff.

The word "modified" can have so many interpretations and variations, that it's impossible to accurately answer. If you're asking about a "no rules" unlimited carb that only has to vaguely look like it once was a 4412 carb, well, that's a lot different than your average "modified" 4412.
And consequently, the HP and torque possible can vary widely.
As for the "big names" and who's is best, well, there are any number of builders that are within a hair's width of each other. There are only one or two that actually build cutting edge wildly modified no-rules 4412's.
My best advice would be to watch for the ones that are overpriced mildly massaged stock pieces being billed as "modified"...and there are more than you think that fall into that category....

Yeah, KP is right, I bought one that fell into that category. Won't happen again though, hopefully.

any body know what the airflow on a cs 890 would be? at 1.5 inches 650 possibly, basing this on throttle body with same size throttle bores am i close?
