what is the rules on carb spacers as far as height and area of gains or loses and 4 hole or open pros and cons?

In just about every case , an open 2" spacer will work best for you , especially if your using an intake manifold with an extended plenum . All of the high dollar 4 hole tapered spacer's that I have tested have been a total joke for what they cost and are supposed to gain . Stick with the open spacer if you don't have access to an engine or chassis dyno .

I run a brodix 1000 what do you think would be the best spacer to use with that

Sorry , I don't use Brodix intakes , so I can not tell you for sure . Try the open 2" to start with .

Thanks steve I have a open 2" and 1" will try both and see what the human dyno thinks.

LOL !! The human dyno works good too If your using any of the Edelbrock intake , Victor JR , or Super Victor , the 2" will run best .
