Ok, I installed a set of ***** in studs because there were 5 studs pulling out of one head. The holes were already the correct size so I tapped them out and all was good. I installed the studs with thread sealer and torqued them down. However, every single one of them leaks water. Where did I go wrong? I used the same sealer I used on all of the head bolts and intake bolts, and none of them leak. Also, three of them started to turn out, so while I wasn't there someone that doesn't usually work on the car drilled the ***** in studs and pinned them. As an engineer, that sounds like a BIG no-no. What the heck should I do? The heads are off the car now so I can do whatever I need to do to them. Oh, by the way, these are the ***** in studs that look just like the press in variety. They don't have the hex on them that requires machining. Thanks.

sounds like you've got a mess.

first off, shoot the guy that pinned 'em, lol.

i'd get a new set and use an anerobic sealer on them, like hylomar. you can get it at the parts store. it's next to the silicone. it should also keep them from backing out.
