last night we had a marathon 8 lap event were i think we ran 30 laps at the end of the main left exhaust manifold was beet red. in hot laps she was spitting fire out the pipes. we checked sc***s on the front of quad and both were out about 6 1/2 turns. my thought it was bogging down due to too much fuel and air, adjusted sc***sto 3 turns out, exhaust pipes were white and ashe when we loaded on the trailor. timing is at 24 degrees stock 350 helppppp!

If your total timing is at 24 degree's , your way........too retarded . You should be up around 34-36 total .

the left bank will always be leaner, hence hotter, on an oval track car that turns left only. the laws of physics apply here. centrifugal force puts more fuel mixture in the right bank. your main problem is the retarded timing. get the timing right and then go from there.

I agree with steve. Your total timing is way too retarded. I had the same problem last year and come to find out my cap came loose and turned causing my timing to retard. My car started to run like crap so I pulled in the pits and when I got there everyone was telling me to get out. A friend of mine came running with a fire extinguisher and put out the fire under the hood. Upon inspection, we found that 4 of 8 plug wires had desintigrated and caused the loss of power.. Just some food for thought.....
