i have oil coming up and getting in my distributor cap. what can i do to stop it

Is it coming out of the oil pump gasket or the head cover gaskets?

Find another one or have that one rebuilt.

Try rebuilding it. Never really seen that prob, but try rebuilding. If you have a spare just try it and see what happens.

I think the problem is excess crankcase pressure. Either too much blow by from the rings or little or no vent. Dont rely on a stock pcv valve, add vents to the left side valve cover. If some's good and more's better, then too much is about right!
