I have a quadrajet and I was going to adjust the two screws on the front near the bottom. I was told to back of them all the way and then turn back up to I got max rpm but all never seen a differnce in rpm except it wont Idol with them all the way in. So I turned them both exactly 3 turns a left it. Is that all right or what do I do?

The rule of thumb for this is... turn both screws in til they stop, then back them out 1 1/2 turns, start engine and fine tune the screws to max rpm at idle.

Then you have a big enuf cam that the butterflies are open enuf to expose the transfer slots(i think quads have 'em!)and the idle circuit will not do a hill of beans to the idle mixture, open up the holes in the butterflies to get them closed more so the idle can be adjusted.
