I bought a Holley fuel pump for my 406 SBC, and looking at the Speedway Catalog, it looks like this is a pump that will pump 12 psi.
Do I need to worry about this?
Will this pump work for me?

That depends on the type of fuel you are running (alky or gas), carb. size, etc. With alky, it might be OK.
We run a mechanical fuel pump (edelbrock 15psi)on racing gas with 750 cfm carb. and need only 7-7.5 fuel pressure. Therefore, we run a holley fuel regulator...
