What's your compression? The higher compression you run the more gap in the plug so it doesn't have as hot a spark. I run a Delco plug with a .045 gap, with 10.5 to 1 compression on 110 racing fuel. I've talked to numerous racers who said they didn't see enough difference in performance between the higher end plugs to run them.

We use the 133 Autolite , gapped at .045" with an MSD ignition .

.035" if your not triggering it with a MSD .

This gap recommendation is for ignition's that are fired with a MSD ignition box . I don't know much about the MSD HEI distributor , simply because most classes that require a HEI do not allow this distributor to be used . So I have not done any research on this distributor . My guess would be that the MSD HEI would not have anywhere near the output of the 6 series MSD box's .
