Anyone have comments or experience with the extremely long stroke 350 SBC. 3.875" or even 4.00"? Durability, Cautions, issues? Looking at a Scat forged assembly and putting together a long stroker. Any observations would be appreciated.

If your planning on using a standard deck height block , then you will be limited on rod length . You can expect a lot of low end torque , with a torque curve that peak's very rapidly , and then fall's off just as fast . You can also expect to not produce more horse power than a shorter stroke engine with a better rod/stroke ratio . Buy a tall deck block , use a long rod , and you'll be happy .
