Have any of you ever had oil analysis run on your race motors?

If so where did you have it done and what did it cost?

Did you find it useful?

Do you do it regularly or just a one time thing?

Ran across a website where you can get this done for about 25$. Thought about doing a test at the beginning of the year, 1 about 1/2 and one towards the end of the season to see what kind of wear we are getting and how well our oil holds up.

some of the big truck dealers also do the same thing and maybe for less, they analyze their oil regularly.

if you run kendall motor oil you can get cups and boxes to send in a sample to them, from the dealer. i did it once in a while, results were a little slow back, might be better or not even avail now?

it cost shipping and a self addressed card to them.

I use Schaeffer oil in my car & I get sample kits for about $15.00. I sample the oil once a month to see what might be going on inside my motor. This is the best way to see any future problems before they get any worse. I also have them sample my haulers oil as well. Best money spent.

I used to get a kit from the Chevron jobber that came with the sample bottle and a postage paid box to mail it in and the whole deal cost only 8 bucks
