I have a 327 block, std 4.00 bore and the same size journals as a 350, 2.450 main and 2.100 rod. According to Mortec, the casting number was used in 1968.....302s, 327s, and 350s. So can I use this block just like I would a regular 350 block for a motor buildup?? Or am I overlooking something??

yes, you can use it just as you would a 350 block, i have done it many times, but there is one difference that i know of, the main cap bolts are about a quarter inch shorter. and they wont interchange with the 350 bolts. hope this helps, ford5

ford5, thx, I also noticed the 327 has 2 HUGE threaded plugs behind the timing gear, just below the oil drainback holes, what are those for??
