You may also want to consider extending the inner sleeve to help direct the spring back to its seat when the LR goes into compression. I run the Gaerte sliders and added 2"on mine to help it from hanging up on the inner sleeve.

I had thought about doing what the previous poster mention with extending the inner cone but we tried something different and it worked really well. We had our Gaerte's mounted with the threaded body at the bottom. Then we took the heim and top plate off the shaft end and drilled out the plate so it will slide along the shaft and then put the heim back in with a thick cut washer between it and the shaft. Then you can zip tie the spring to both plates and the top plate will simply slide along the shaft as it seperates and will keep it centered on the spring. Never had any trouble after this.

We did the same as dirtbuster. We mounted ours with the threaded side up. Seems to work fine.
