I am looking for the threaded inserts for welding your own trailing arms. I have seen them in a catalog but now cannot find them.
Please Help.

Thamks! We are looking at getting some for a project and try to keep about 20-30 on hand in 1/2 to 1 inch.
Braze chromoly, Man that is something I forgot about. We used to do it in the drag car before we got the TIG. People do not realize how strong it is when done right, they weld it and complain when it brakes but they do not get it hot enough and end up tempering the steal and it cracks from being to hard. We used to heat it until it was almost Yellow hot (about2000 degrees) and then braze it then let it cool all by itself.

21racer You are correct, but I always like to try different stuff. The rods I am looking for are 40 inches long and have to be steel. The others are for a jeep and need to be 1 1/2 inch tube for rock crawling and are about 60 inches long. The Mfgs. stop at about 38. And besides it is always good to have options.
