A big "what if?".

If you had to run a stcok fuel pump (small chevy) which one is best? Is their an application that has a better fuel pump than the generic OEm replacement? Camaro, Corvette, etc?

Thanks,
Dave

we have run big block vette pumps in the past but i stick to the old small block cheapy from the parts house i don't see much sence in getting a big volume pump and then having to restrict it

I have run stock replacement pumps from Autozone for about the past (4) years now on my 350 and 400's running gas (6800-7100rpm) using the return line configuration. I cap the return line and am able to maintain anywhere between 8-9lbs pressure around idle to as high as 16lbs at WOT. I've never had a pump related failure or lean condition. If I'm correct, I've run the same pump for a couple/few years now.
