I have found it is easy to get some unistrut from an electrical supply house or even an electrical contractor and get his s**** pecies, weld the bolts so they stick through the lead but the heads are even with the bottom of the form we are using, put a fender washer on the bolt weld the unistrut about half the distence up the bolt as the form is deap, then hold it in place and pour in the lead. I have had several peices hit by the other car in a wreck and the lead did not come off. We had started this because we were buying lead and the track we were running at was a little on the RUOGH side as far as the drivers, we lost about $250 in lead, we have not lost any like this.

Ask your dentist if he has any. They have usaully have all the lead from taking E-rays of your teeth. it is nice little foil pieces, easy to melt.

I've had good luck going to metal s****/recycling yards. You can usually find pretty good sized lead chunks that you can either use as is or melt into a mold. Don't forget if you use tire weights, you'll have to fish out all the metal clips.
