I can't remember having to flash mine once this season. What is the actual rule on have to posses an IMCA license? ANy info. appreciated.

I dont have one as we race a Nascar track but i beleive you would be caught when they tried to update your point total and found noone registered. Maybe not....

Yea, i could see that being an issue. The only reason i don't see needing one, is because of the tracks i run on around here. They are IMCA sanctioned, but they don't enforce any IMCA rules, "except the tire, and claim rule". I also don't run for any type of points, although they do add up for IMCA i guess.

80 you should have used your imca gold card and got you a good motor for 500 bucks like everybody else does lol

When you say you "had to have one" hiway80, what exactly do you mean? Did they come around and check your license? I nknow you have to flash it if you're gonna claim, but since i don't plan on claiming any one, i don't see when i would need it.

I've never been asked to show it before.

it also has to do with the tracks insurance. thats like when we ran under nascar everybody had to be a member not just the drivers to get in the pits

Alright guys.....Thanks for the input. I'm going to go ahead and "waste" my money on a license. I'll probably need it anyways.......seeing as how i plan to win opening night at my track.
