Yes I would mount it forward some. But without being there to see it I couldnt tell you how much. You dont want to go too much or it could bind the other way. It seems like our DW car is prob and 1" or more forward. You could manipulate the suspension to the extremes and see just how much the LR will move forward and base it on that. I would make sure to go to both extremes to make sure there are no binds anywhere.

Ideal would be mounted so the center of the bar comming off the mount would center the attachment bar this would give you the move flexability to adjust for rear stear and roll.

mine is infront also. make sure you do not use to much bushing on the pinion(to keep binding down) or you will bend a pinion mount very easily.
