Your probably gonna have to sandblast it off. Find someone with an industrial type sandblaster, They can have it done in about 30-45 minutes. It's well worth the $$. We found a guy that did free for putting his name on the car. Hope this helps.

You will never get powder coat off in 45 minutes unless you have a huge unit that does very large structures (like bridges).

our local powdercoat shop heats the chassis up before they blast it to recoat it.

i have heard of doing that but i would be afraid if it was cheap powdercoating it would fall off in the oven and make a mess.

If you are just looking to remove a small area for repairs, just burn it with your torch and then wire brush it. I have heard that the only way to remove it on a large scale is to have it baked off. Anyone who has had a powderocoated part in a bead blaster knows that blasting takes forever.

THANKS guys for all the suggestions. He took a torch to it first and then spent about 12 hours sandblasting. Going to get it repowdercoated today. Thanks again for all the help.
