New to mod racing and have a swingarm car with lift bar.Wanting to learn some of the advantages and disadvantages of this setup.Car seems to be the same every time out.I have been trying to get more foward bite most guys are running 4 bars and dont know much about swingarms around here.Any input would help greatly thanks

i ran a swing arm this year, and they are differnet from most other types. i love them.
fist off your car will need a short panhard bar from left side of pinon to left side of chassis taht helps them a ton. also maybe a pull bar will give you more instant traction but you will not have it as long as you will with a lift bar.
the swing arms are good on tacky tracks and the best on rough tracks. nothing can beat a swing arm on a rough track.
they also have good forward bite if set up right.
but little side bite is the onyl problem.
run a short bar, and like a 50-100 pouns split in your rear spring rates, also put your left side in the top hole on the frame so it is angled upward alot, and the riht side set angled down or level.
the only problem we had with mine is loose entry but i think i have that fixed.
alot of people will try to talk you out of a swing arm but if your track is rough you can not beat one. that is what alot of the really fast latemodels are on now.
