well we need some help.. we are going to be runnning a track that has been become bigger.. The turn on the track before were tight and the straights kinda long.. its going from a 4/10s to a 3/8s's the turns will be longer sweeping ones that are high banked.. The question we have is we need to get about 1,ooo more rev's out of the motor.. Right now we are running a set of 5:43's and are thinking going up to 63's or 87's... and the engine is a 355..

anybody got some ideas on this....

in other words HELP....

If you are running 5.43's I would say depending on the track conditions 5.67's should be good when the track is slick but if it stay's tacky for the most part 5.82's is what you'll go with. I get my gears from Bushore Racing and if I remember right they told me every gear selection is 500 rpm's. Like I said I think that's what it is, I have everything writen down in my notes at the garage.

The track is going to wider and faster so you will be turning more RPM's with the gears you are running now. I would try running the same gears you have know.

If you are talking about Elma, we are going to try 5.14 or 5.00 in are mod.

you mean 3/8 to a 4/10 now ? i'd try the 43 first and see what it does if the straights are the same lenghth you shouldn't need to change much

The old track was close to a 3/10 and the new will be 3/8 apox 10 feet off the bottom. The old track was like a paper clip and the new one should have turns to match the straights. If the tracks turns out like i think it will its gonna be a fast sob!!!!
