runnin a 4bar lr 275 rr175 and changed to 200
coming out seemed better. I had to wait to get forward traction. if I raised rate would it drive tires down more for more traction,or make it brake lose easier? heat works good.feature dry slick little bank. opinions
on rate and split? in search of the perfect race car.

First off, there is no such thing as a "perfect race car", it will always be alittle tight or lose at some point in the race. The driver that wins races is the one who can drive around these problems.

As for the springs it is my personal opinion htat softer springs are need to make forward drive, to get weight transfer. I would try somehting like a 225-250 LR and 200-225 RR.

Thanks for the advice. everyone on this sight is looking to improve their car.have you ever tried stiffer springs and worked your way down to a lower rate in search of more forward traction or softer to stiffer.
to come to the conclusion this rate works best for this cars traction.

the car has a j bar and a 5th arm .I have ran very little tension to somewhere around 25 full turns on it .at that much tension on it the car wanted to go straight, at the end. settled on around 16 turns. have 2 1/2 to 3
inches of indexing at max.(measurement of rubber groment travel) race the car once a week a two night weekend a month.try not to
make to many changes,weekly so I know where I'm at. Heard both sides of stiff springs to
drive tires to the ground and soft springs to let the tail work. thats why I posted the Question.
