For you guys who own hot chassis, how pleased are you with them as compared to other brands you may have driven? How good of a tech support do they have?

2nd2none looks like all the hot chasis guys are shy.I was wondering the same thing thinking of buying one myself.Dont think that they are bad cars we have 2 running at our track and they do pretty good.I heard there tech support wasnt that good.

I've got one, but Ive only raced one season and it's my first car. I had heard through the grapevine that the previous owner (it had 8-10 nights on it when I got it)couldnt get it to hook up. I know I may be a rookie, but I never felt like Iwas going backward. Actually led quite a few laps at a couple of different tracks.

But as for tech support, I've got none so far. I've left a few messages but none were returned.

These chassis are very popular here (NW Louisiana), and most of the guys that drive them are always in the front.

i dont have one but my brother does, seems like a fair car but cannot get any tech.he has left several messages with no return call. one time he actually was talkin to the owner and the owner told him he was busy and would call him back which he has yet to do and that was about 3 months ago

Buy a car that is popular in your area....then if your lucky you have a lot of tech support. My friend has a Hot chassis and hasnt had very good luck with the car or tech. He is switching to a Hoffman this coming season.

well the car isnt for me. Everything in this area is dirtworks. They are very good cars, i've owned 2 of them before switching to LM's. A buddy of mine, previous DW owner, was planning on buying 2 chassis this year, 1 dirtworks and 1 ??? he's just thinking about trying something that aint here. I personally want to talk him out of a hot chassis, i raced with some in mississippi this summer when i was running down there and wasnt too impressed with them, although i did finish 2nd to one at a UMP show

The Hot Chassis that I've worked on seemed to be when they build them they weld with the welder too hot.If you buy one make sure you get one with a front hoop, the one's without flex too much.

Guys,
Please give Kevin and Larry a try at Larry Shaw Racecars. They have a killer 4 bar chassis that is mopping up in NE Arkansas and SE Missouri. Batesville and West Plains points champs were both in Shaws. The kicker is the Tech. Kevin wants you to be fast in one of his cars. He helped us in our DirtWorks. My boss ordered a new Shaw, it will be ready in January. Give them a call.
