I went with a 700 lf 650 rf 225 lr 175 rr z-link spring on birdcage the left rear was a 4-bar spring behind and the car was good at the end of the year and the 650 was not bottoming out so with more front spring it helps foward bite i was thinking about going to a 650lf 600 rf 250 lr 200 or 175 rr would this be the wrong way thanks for the reply

With a 3 link or leaf, your OK with a soft RF because it lets the car roll on the RR easier. With a 4bar on the LR it won't work. You need that RF to be stiffer to help the 4 bar press that LR into the ground. With a soft RF it just pushes the car over the RF and makes it pushy going in and no bite coming off. I am sure someone might have made it work but I am telling you, never had any luck here. Good luck!

We made the softer RF work on a short 2 link, Ran 750 LF and 650 RF Only trouble we had was on a really fast tacky track it would bottom out the RF a frame and start pushing on entry. Prob could have used 700 or 750 spring for that but never had any problems getting forward bite out of it. I know several mods and most of the super late models on 4 links around here are running the RF softer. I think it takes more tuning than just swapping springs to make it work.

I have a D&M and the factory set-up sheet calls for a 950 rf and a 750 lf. There is a 900 in it now, Your numbers all seem low or is mine too high ???

Dean your not to high with the 900 on a D&M car we ran a bit stiffer than that ....the 900 would bottom allmost all the time!

I have heard of people running stiffer springs on the lf than the rf to help the car roll over? Has anyone tried this?? What is the typical split on front springs 100#s or 200#s?
