I've been thinking, What would be the difference on a 4 link, left side birdcage,if the mounting points on the bird cages were either farther apart or closer together? Is there a standard distance here? I have always designed mine from scratch, and they are 9 inches apart. It seems to work well, but wondering if more or less would be better? I guess the same question could apply with a swing arm bird cage? thanks ford5

most of the newer style aluminum birdcages have multiple holes for the top link on the left rear, i think its mainly to gain more bar angle and to tune the amount and rate of indexing.
our late model has twm birdcages. they have one hole at 4.5" from axle centre and one at 3".
