Is it just me, or do these g-60 American Racer tires suck when they're brand new? They seem like they're harder than usual, and the car always seems loose in my heat race, "on a new set of rear tires".
Am i the only one?

i've heard that complaint before but it's pretty ez to fix go out in the street and do a burn out after you mount them will take that hardness out of un a guy i know tried them on his drag car and just spun um like crazy on the first pass second pass they bit so good it stalled the car

That would probably work, except that i have a Brinn in the car. I don't think the little baby clutch would like a burnout.

An easier way to do it is to grind them. It makes them good. We grind out tires before they are ever run and after every time that we run them.

I have found that if I heat cycle new tires they work much better. I run the new tires in hot laps take them off and don't use them till next week. If you can get a couple hot lap session on them to put heat in them even better. Seems to not only help with bite but wear.
