the fastest rear suspension is the one you know how to use!

As a racer and a car builder i dont think there is any one perfect/ best setup for rear suspension. I have seen just about all kinds of variations and seen them all be fast. I beleive whatever you understand the most and are comfortable with will be the fastest for you.

the simplist would be a 2 link with springs on top of the rearend

I agree with Majic maker, 2-link with springs on top is simplest. Not fastest, tho. Too much depends on the track surface, condition, chassis, and driver.

Ill agree with the others. A 2 link will be the siplest and easiest and can be very fast. Although i would put the springs on brackets in front of the rearend.

If you look at super late models you will mostly see 4 links of some sort. whether straight 4 or 4/z etc. There is just a lot more tunability with them if you know what to do.

four-bar is by far the fastest if you race it forty to fifty times a season. They are tough to set up but once they are ohh wicked fast. the four-bar, swing arm is probably the most consistent, fast set-up
