I've run the 6 - Series boxes since 1994.
At least 5 different cars.
I've had two failures - once I filled the box completely to the top with water (mounted it in a stupid place). I know they are supposed to be waterproof, but I don't blame the box at all. The other I left connected while welding on the chassis, and it failed the next time the car ran.
Both boxes were repaired by MSD and I am currently running one and using the other as a spare.

Yes,be sure you use the stock hold down clamp. The aftermarket ones don't work very well.

We had trouble with stock clamps so we wnet to the MSD clamp. Very nice heavy duty piece. Made from about 1/4" steel will not bend and will not slip out of place. Something like 20$ but worth it.

I realy thought that more people might be running the DUI. I am glad I have the MSD now. Is there any maintence I need to do to the MSD to keep it in good working order?

I dont see what all the fuss is about MSDs. I like the HEIs. They are simple, cheap, and if they are built right, you never have any problem. Maybe I'm wrong, but the MSDs never impressed me, just more stuff to go wrong. I like the KISS method..... Keep It Simple, Stupid.
