we just finished a new ump/imca mod. I used our spare KSE tandem pump for our late model. we used this pump with know problem on the late model. the fuel pump works great but the steering side does not seem to have enough pressure or flow for the stock type box it worked fine with the rack and pinion in the late model. or there could be a problem with the box? I know alot of you use this pump on a stock box do you have to change anything? the steering works if you move it slow but sudden movement seems like a dead spot?

i changed mine on the crank pully from a 20 tooth to a 22 tooth and that fixed my dead spot in mine.also the fluid needs to be a little heavier hyd fluid .this worked for me .just my 2 cents.

Is the dead spot at idle or on the track? I know sometimes at a slow idle the power steering can be kind of sluggish but goes away with rpm's
