I have a DW8 2 link rear with a j bar. Car is extremely quick in feature until about the last 5 laps then it gets a terrible push from mid corner to exit. Front springs are lf-650 rf-750 lr-200 rr-150 Bilstein 50/50 shocks all around equivalent to 75's on front and 94 on rear. 125# of left rear bite,,wheel offsets are lf,lr,rf are 3" and rr is a 4", I run Hoosier e-mods. Front wheel weights are even. This thing plows to the wall when it starts the pushing. This is a throttle push. I have a rubber biscuit rod on the lower right rear. This may have an effect on it, but why does it start so late in the race? The track is very dry when we begin and no different at the end. thinking about taking rf wheel and changing it to a 4" offset.

Could the track possibly be taking on rubber near the end of the race?

Try taking some bite out of it. As the race goes on your are prob having bite(cross) added to the car and by the end of the race it is too tight off the corner.

You may want to take some cross weight out. That seemed to help when I had a throttle push with my 2 link. You may be giving a little up at the start, but you would be better at the end.

How do you have the fuel cell mounted in the car? Did you change location or height of the cell? We mounted a square cell in my car and put it towards the RR. When fuel burns off my car gets tighter. Just a thought. I would also think the track may be taking rubber. If thats the case you will get tighter. Where do you have the brake balance set?

Good Luck.

Fuel burn off will mess up your cross weight. But I am not sure how exactly... it still makes no sense to me but I am going to put my car on the scale tonight and see as I am cleaning the fuel system and it is out of gas right now.

racin rich, what kind of left side percentage and what cross are you starting out with, we have rr fuel and car is awful first half of race but tightens up and gets better the closer to the end we get. clamped swing-arms (no trailing arms). need to get car better for first half of race we go backwards.

Don't forget, guys, as you burn off fuel, your car will raise up due to its getting lighter in the rear. This makes a change in bar angles, as well.

Alcohol, you might be a little on the tight side and getting that left rear to grow during the feature which would take stagger away and make it throttle pushy. My guess is a combo of the two situations. You are likely gaining J-bar angle and just a bit tight. That would make it come in late.

DO YOU HAVE ROOM ON YOUR PULL BAR MOUNT TO SLIDE IT BACK AND FORTH?IF YOU DO TRY TO MOVE IT TO THE RIGHTABOUT 1/8 OF AN INCH.WEVE GOT OURS ON A GRADE 8 ALLTHREAD WITH NARROW JAM NUTS,IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE,AND ONLY TAKES A SMALL AMOUNT OF MOVEMENT TO DO THE JOB!
