just put good bottom end which you should have any way. The motor will run cooler be sure your return line to the tank is large enough if not this can affect your fuel pressure (at least thats what we ran into)

I think those are great suggestions.
If you are relatively green to all of this, I would also recommend hooking up with one of the reputable alky carb companies. They can hold your hand through it, and save you money in the long run. I learned the hard way! $$$$$$$$$$

I have the C&S gate valve regulator on my car and it works great. It is a simple valve that works right off of the fuel log. Make sure you get a very high volume fuel pump, not high pressure. You sould have a 32 gal cell, also you burn twice as much alcohol as gas. So to keep the rear weight up, run a bigger cell. That also includes bigger lines to and from the pump, carb, ect. You may have to change the water block off to get the motor warmer/cooler, it does change with the weather. So spend $12.00 and get the water neck w/ the rubber gasket on it. Also run some top lube in the alcohol, cherrie bomb or something like that. When you set the carb up, we set it up by the exhaust temps 1st! It works. We look at the plugs but that is not the primary factor in changing the jets out. Ask your engine guy about the exhaust temps and go from there. That's about it. gl ltr spde
