I havent had that problem with my RX. I put duct tape across the bottom of the opening (above the nose) and havent had a problem.

WHEN YOU PAY OVER 400.00 FOR A HELMET YOU WOULD LIKE TO THINK YOU COULD USE IT WITH OUT ADDING DUCT TAPE TO IT TO KEEP OUT WIND AND DUST. I RAN A SIMPSON SX, LAST YEAR AND HAD TROUBLE KEEPING IN MY CONTACTS. NOT MUCH FUN DRIVING WITH POOR VISION . HAVE SINCE PURCHASED THE G-FORCE HELMET AND AT HALF THE PRICE IT IS TWICE THE HELMET. NO MORE LOST CONTACTS.

even on my bandit i have problems with the visor sealing. going to put some more foam around the visor. also i think there visors are junk. my old helmet, also a bandit but 10 years old had the same visor on it from day one. on my new helmet i'm going on my third visor this year! i only run 1 night a week so i'm getting about 6 nights on a $45 visor. i even take the last one off and swish it in a pail of water before i start to clean it and it still gets scratched up. got the softest darn rag i could find to clean and dry with. does anybody else make a visor that fits these helmets???? kind of makes you wonder if the new owners of simpson products are skimping on the quality of the visors whats the rest of the helmet like?????

Hey,

Thought I would offer up something that works very well for me on extending the life of a visor.

I install my very first tear off the opposite direction of the rest. I never pop this tear off while racing. Obviously tho, in an emergency I would pop the last one, but so far I havent had to. When I run out of tear off tabs to pull, I know im down to that last one.

When I clean the shield, since the last tear off has never been removed while racing, the middle of the shield stays exceptionally clean. When I wipe the visor, I wipe from the center up, and then with another clean towel, from the center down. I use a clean towel, or at least a clean spot on the towel, every time it touches the shield. This has been working extremely well for me.

Hope its something you guys can use.

Any of you want to sell your junky Simpson helmet cheap? I might be interested and then you could go buy you a G Force.
