KSE here. Pump is going on 12 years old now and still works great. Sent in to KSE this season to have it checked out and it tested out perfect. Usually just put a seal kit in every few years and its good to go.

I've had the same BLP **mp since '95 and have only taken it apart twice just to clean it, real pleased with it.

We have run a Ron's fuel pump and belt drive that we bought used three years ago with no problems. You just have to take care of the punp with regular checks and maintenance of the fuel system as you would with any pump.

I've had one each of the above mentioned pump's , and never had a problem with any of them . I'm currently using the KSE tandem pump on the back of my dry sump pump , and it's 100% trouble free . I'd be curious to know what is failing in the two pump's that you mentioned . There is just not a whole lot in belt drive pump's that can fail .
