OK - I'm going from an external dump-valve style powerglide to one that uses a clutch pedal / slave cylinder setup. Anyone know which direction the slave needs to mount (Pull to rear or front?) Also - has anyone used a cable type pedal setup? Would there be any problems with using one of those??

Thanks,
Brian

If you are going to use the TCI valvebody you can use the cable to pull back on the lever or a push type slave cylinder. The pull types are harder to mount because of their size.I've used both of these setups. One works as well as the other.

ctfarm - thanks for the hint - I don't know what brand the valvebody is - I bought the complete tranny already prepped from a guy selling out. Both "levers" point up, and was wondering if the release/dump lever needed to be pushed towards the front of the trans or pulled towards the tailshaft... Guess I'll find out when I get the thing back running...

Back towards the tailshaft.

ctfarm - Thanks!!! I was guessing that we'll have to pull towards the back of the tailshaft to disengage the clutches, but wanted confirmation before going through "engineering" a release linkage setup and finding out it's backwards!
