I'd rather run for #1. (No pun intended! ) You have to look at the whole show and give the majority something to come back with. That extra on the back positions does a lot to get a full field next week

i would have to say #2 we plan on winning every time so if i had a choice of 400 or 500 will take the 500 any time!!

It doesn't really matter to me what the purse is, but I feel that at a MINIMUM to start the feature you should get what it cost you and on pit guy to race. I raced at the Rose Bowl in Tyler Texas on this past Friday night and was only paid 30 bucks (out of the top 10) when a pit pass was $25. That is almost a slap in the face. That wouldnt even pay for the Methanol I burned between hot laps and my heat race!!

# 1 , its takes everybody to make a race. Would'nt be very interresting watching 5 cars race.

Nobody spends $ 150.00 to get the car and crew in the pits and buy fuel to say Im gonna come 12th or 14th and get that $ 40 bucks.. We race to win and I say # 2.. just mt opinion.... towman

Purse 1, I like to think that we have a top 5 car every weekend, but when it comes down to it, you have to entice the other guys to come back, or you wont have that payout because you dont have the car count.

If the only choice I had were the two above, I'd have to pick #1. However, we already run for waaay more each week than that at Malden. They pay $1000 to win and $50 to start each week if they get 30 cars or more. In the past two years, they've only had 3 weeks where they didn't draw the car count, and that was because of rain once, and because it was too cold one other time. The third time, I wasn't there but I heard they didn't make the count. Now granted, the purse drops off as you go through the field, but I'd rather shoot for $1000 weekly than $400. That's just my opinion. Also, I won't go to a track that won't pay at least $50 to start the "A". It's not worth my time to drive there and pay my way in, burn fuel, and drive back for less than that much less the chance of tearing up something major for no purse.
Just my two cents, take it or leave it and..................See ya at the track!!

price of tires up. fuel up. pit passes up. track reg. up. big motors in light expensive parts in SAME LOW PAYOUT> good for greedy promoter bad for racer.
