ok this may sound dumb, but i gotta ask.The scales in the tool box show 3 pieces of angle iron. 1 piece acts as the point on the end, 1 piece is a place for the wheel pan, and the third is the piece that lays on the scale. My questions are 1.is the angle iron welded to the top of the framework or is it in between the rails of the frame, and 2.has anyone used them and are they worth the time to build??
thanks

i made up a set.
very simple once you get it all laid out.
I put angle on the pan instead of trying to bend the plate. http://www.rcracing-team.com/scales.htm
once you make the first one make a jig so the other three are the same. Then when you use them mark all three pieces beam, pan, and scale so that you use the same pieces on the same wheel every time. This will help keep it consistant. just set the beams up then zero out the scale. Then put the car down on the pan.
