If you attempt this you will have to replace the high gear clutches and plates every other weekend. Your better bet is to change the rear gear ratio to run in high and bleed off low and reverse.

I have literally dozens of this type of tranny in use right now. The high plates last 2-3 seasons. You just need to know where to drill :-)

Seriously folks. A low gear hidden direct powerglide should not have any high clutches. You just use high gear range to bleed off low. P.M. me and we will talk about it
