new to sport. wondering if i disconnect power brakes hose from intake will this effect my vacuum. if so by how much and if it does will tech disconnect hose before checking vacuum? thanks, john grammer beech bluff, tn.

i was wondering if they test vacuum with that hose still connested or will they disconnest to check engine vacuum. i am real close to being at 17 but a little shy.

The brake booster will not affect your vacuum reading. It does not leak vacuum unless the diaphram is ruptured.
Locking up your timing will help with vacuum at idle. It will be hearder to start tough.
