I run 2 1/2" center dumps run into some short red glasspacks. My question is, can I cut off my exhaust pipe right behind the glasspack without causing a problem? The way the pipe is angled its pointed right at my gas line which runs through the frame. Or would it just be better to re-run my gas line?

A lot of poeple run open headers with no pipes at all, so I'm sure you have no trouble cutting your pipes after the glass packs.

I would relocate the fuel line to prevent vaporlock in the line. Cutting the pipe is up to you. It will raise the noise level some. On some cars a 10" pipe after the muffler will help with the flow.

It might cause it to run alittle different if you cut them off.But it might also make it run better.If you have any problems with reversion I'd leave it alone

back a few years ago we did some testing on a short track with center dumps with a 9to1 355 and with center dumps the best thing we found was to run your 2 1/2 inch pipe out past the fire wall then flare the end to 2 7/8 or bigger if you can we could only get it that far with the expanders we had but it made a huge differace

I have noticed the longer the exhaust the better mine runs,because of the back pressure.
