get yourself a amuninum front bumper off a mini van or fairmont or vw then just use 1/2 in square tubing to make a frame off your radiator protection bars personally i like the newer style grand prix noses on them but just about any of them that performance bodies work good except the old style monte ss nose you have to make patches to fill in the head light slants on the fenders on a malibu it will work but i don't like that extra patch on the side

go with a monte ss nose...they seem to be the lightest plastic noses out there. the newer style olds, gp and montes are quite a bit heavier...but they look nice.
i run an aluminum caravan bumper under it...works awesome.

The combination of a Performance Bodies nose and bumper has been the best thing I've used. The bumper's light and a bit pricy (at $100), but it fits under the nose perfectly and supports it well. You can even do a little bumping with it without braking the plastic.

The custom bumper sounds expensive, but when it saves a $200 aluminum radiator from getting broken (which it did for me), it pays for itself.

I've never run a stock nose, but I can't imagine your saving any weight with one.

The Performance Bodies nose is probably 8 pounds and the bumper is maybe 20. Those are high guesses. They are not heavy.

Has anyone tried the Iroc Nose Circa 86 or even the firebird?? Are they too wide? The pontiac nose looks like it might work good.

here is my 78 cutlass with the iroc nose, I think it looks pretty good, at least it looks like it belongs there instead of some weird stupid thing. Good luck.
