I just got my new motor done and had planned on running a 153 tooth nodular flywheel. But I just now noticed that it doesnt have the extra bolt hole to mount the stock type starter to fit it. Is there an aftermarket starter that I can bolt in the staggered bolt holes and still be able to use the 153 tooth flywheel? I dont think its worth the trouble right now to try and tap it. I'll wait till I rebuild the engine after the season.

I saw that, but I couldnt tell from the pictures of the starter if they would work for what I stated. I was hoping someone would have first hand knowledge.

Ye there is a starter like your looking for. go to your local Napa or checkers and tell them what youve got they should have them in stock. The gear is shifted inward so the bolt holes stay in the same spot as the stock one. If your rules allow a "mini" starter those have multiple holes to shift inward for the smaller flywheel. Hope this helps.
