hey guys was wondering if you guys could give me your input on how long you think the bars should be on a 3 link? I have been running 27 inch bars from center to center. I am running a bomber that weighs about 2500lbs and have had real trouble getting rear percentage up over 46%. after adding 300lbs I got it up to 48% but obviously not real happy with that. I have cut my rearend out and am moving it forward about 12 to 13 inches and clipping the front and extending it out. I want to go with the short bar but how short should it be? any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks

Well yea, or a 4 link. I tell you what this place is wide open. actually my car is a modified with the skin off a grand prix, seriously. we have bombers that look just like late models with aluminum bodys and all. heck we have guys running 406's on alky. plus we have 75 to 100 cars show every sat night in the bomber class. theres guys putting 15 grand in a bomber motor that pays 180 to win. pretty sad I know. The only reason I race there is because my sponsors want me to race there. how do you turn down free money LOL

Anyone run at a place like this? where the rules are so lax that guys get away with just about anything?

If thats a bomber, what is the top class? ARCA and Nextel cars with Hoosier dirt bosses?

And don't forget the modifieds -- old IRL and CART cars.

We are in just about the same boat-we have a hobby class for entry level and there really isn't any rules. There are a few things that are "understood" but there are full roller motors out there racing for $100 to win. Guys with 15 years experience taking it to the new guys--and there are 30+ cars and growing.

western,
we have bombers, sportsman and latemodels. the only rules that are understood here is we cant run botie heads or aluminum heads or aluminum intake or screw jacks. Oh yea and we cant run racing tires or bead locks. other than that anything goes. In fact I called the track inspector to ask if I can put an aluminum body on b/c I heard several others did and he told me that was fine. The rules say stock steel bodies, figure that one out. Eljojo I hope your track gets it under control cause this one is out of control.
