Hello

Is there a way to identify externally whether my 1st gear is a 1.75 or 1.82 in a powerglide? I recall counting driveshaft rotations to tire rotation years ago for the final drive ratio but is there another way like markings on the case.

Thanks in advance

Kevin

IF THE TRANSMISSION IS STILL IN THE CAR OR IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO REMOVE THE INPUT SHAFT, THE DIAMETER OF THE OUTPUT SHAFT ON A 1.82 IS 1.145" AND ON A 1.76, IT IS 1.170".HOPE THIS HELPS.
